In 2001, Don added free tutorial movies to help users learn to use ODDS Online in the same way he does when placing his own trades. In 2003, Don added the Time Machine feature. This revolutionized option investing for individuals. Even today the ability to back test option trades with real bid/ask prices at a reasonable cost is unheard of. In the same free upgrade, Don added another ground breaking feature called the High Profit Report. This was the first time option traders had the ability to compare the Black-Scholes Model to the actual historical price movements of the stock. We could now clearly see how accurate the model was on any stock in the report. The "Measure Don't Model" method was now available for all ODDS Online users trading high profit straddle, and strangle trades.
In 2004, Don saw a flaw in the commonly accepted methods of calculating statistical volatility. So he created the ODDS Historical Volatility Calculation. This new calculation was designed to filter out large price gaps that were unlikely to reoccur in short time frames. This new formula helps investors by keeping them out of "too good to be true" trades. Also in 2004, Don created the second tool for comparing the model to reality, called the High Probability Report. This report brought the same "Measure Don't Model" method to trading high probability credit spreads.
In 2008, Don saw the carnage in the markets and he continued to add features to ODDS Online that would help people stay above the fray. He added NAISC US Sector Codes to all reports. This feature was added to help ODDS Online users keep their option portfolios balanced among sectors. Don also added a new Covered Call Report to help ODDS Online users invest with a safer strategy during these turbulent and volatile markets. This report also incorporated the "Measure Don't Model" features of the other ODDS Online reports.
Now in 2009, we are taking another step ahead of the pack. We have now added new charts that are easier to view and navigate. All charts can zoom at the click and drag of your mouse. Our data now goes all the way back to March of 2000, giving you access to our entire history of actual bid/ask prices. We now have a Trade History Graph that lets you back test or track your open positions daily. This feature shows the current and past bid/ask prices of straight single option trades or option combinations. No where else will you get updates on option combinations like this! We have updated our Profit / Loss graph to show the probability of finishing at any point on the chart at expiration. Just move the mouse over the target and you have it.
