Time Machine
The Odds Online Time Machine is a feature of Odds Online that allows you to set the program back in time. This feature is very useful for back testing your trading skills. The Time Machine uses the closing Bid and Ask values for the date you select. This is better than most data services provide. Most data services report their historical option data as last trade or as some calculation of last trade and bid/ask values. With Odds Online you will get the actual values at which you could have purchased or sold the options. This is the best way to guarantee that your back testing is as accurate as possible.
When you login to Odds Online today's date is set buy default into the Current Date field. To use Time Machine you simple click on the Current Date Field and select the historical date from the dropdown list. This sets Odds Online back in time to that date.
Now you can use Odds Online as you normally would. All data will be based on the historical information from the date you selected. Once you have done your analysis you can set the date forward in time to see how the trade performed.
